Spring is in full flow, and the sunny days are becoming more frequent. This is the time to give your home and yourself a good spring-clean – setting you up for a healthy and happy summer!
Some of us are now able to move about freely outdoors, even if restricted to our own towns or counties. However, some are still reticent about getting out and about again, and this article will look at ways you can still improve your wellbeing from the comfort and safety of your own living rooms.
Bringing the spring weather indoors!
For your home!
Freshen up your home by adding a few splashes of cool, springtime colours to your life! A scatter cushion here, a vase of flowers there, a new set of wall photos – the list goes on! Whether you choose to go subtle or bold, these little tweaks can be done for relatively little expense.
Fling open those windows and let the fresh spring air mingle with your new decorative touches to bring the beautiful weather indoors. Want even more spring aromas? Mix some springlike fabric conditioner to some water in an atomiser spray bottle and spray a couple of times into the air in the centre of your living room… for that little extra springtime scent!
Put the brown eyeshadow away now – it’s time to liven up your face with some fresh spring colours! Aim for a fresh and natural look, with perhaps a touch of sheer or pale lip-gloss alongside some blue/green eye colours and rosy pink blush on the tops of your cheeks! Instant youthful glam!
Spring Wardrobe – de-clutter and reorganize
Now it is time to bundle all those winter woollies away, and reach for those floaty, springtime tops and dresses, and your lighter trousers – all to take advantage of the warmer weather.
A great way to store your winter woollies, is to use vacuum bags. You pop your clothes in… attach the nozzle from your vacuum cleaner, suck the extra air out – and enjoy a much smaller package to store away for later in the year.
Spring fresh plates!
Pan fry (in a teeny amount of olive oil) cubed chicken breast. Add your favourite seasonings and serve on a bed of lambs lettuce. Drizzle some balsamic vinegar on top before rating some parmesan on too. A light and healthy lunch!
Season chicken breasts with your favourite flavourings and then over roast. Slice thinly and place into lettuce cups along with some grated carrot (or other veggie of your choice) and perhaps a teeny squirt of something nice, such as sweet chilli sauce.
