Be jubilant in June

Unless you have been in hiding for the past few months, you will have seen that this month marked the Platinum Jubliee – 70 years since Queen Elizabeth II came to the throne.
That got me thinking – how can WE be jubilant in our own lives too?
Smile Share your jubilant self

Here’s a task for you today.
Wherever you go today, whether it’s shopping, going for a stroll, or simply taking the bins out – make eye contact with everyone and give them a smile. You don’t need to engage everyone in conversation (unless you want to, of course) but do see what your smile does to those people.
Some may look at you as if you are nuts – don’t worry! The more you do it, the more positive responses you will receive.
Smile as you thank the cashier in your supermarket. Thank your server in your local cafe and add a big cheesy grin when you pay – hospitality can be a thankless task… and a little appreciation goes a long way.
Tell a stranger some good news Share your jubilation

This one may be a little tougher – but why not tell a stranger your latest bit of good news. Perhaps a family member has graduated from University, or someone is getting married. Perhaps you have just found out that you’re about to become a Grandparent (for the first time or again).
The last one in that list is always a corker – especially when speaking to ladies of a similar age… who doesn’t love to hear about a new grandbaby joining the family eh?
Really not up to chatting to strangers? Then phone a friend and share something positive. Or pop a smiley and happy Facebook update on – we all love to know that our friends and loved ones have something nice happening… so add to that jubilation yourself. It doesn’t have to be groundbreaking – maybe tell your friends how your “smiling at strangers” went – tell them how the most appreciative person reacted.
Spread your jubilant joy!
Sourround yourself with jubilant people The more you smile - the easier it is

Surrounding yourself with positive and happy people can only rub off on you.
Plan a get together with those you love most – those who can add some extra little reasons to be jubilant… simply by being with you.
When was the last time you simply spent time with your most upbeat friends? Was it a while? Then why not be the driving force and plan something today. It doesn’t have to be a big event – sometimes a quick coffee or wine with the ladies is enough to raise the lowest of spirits.
